Not writing much this week. I just wanted to give a shout out to a fellow photographer and friend of mine, Louis Riso, who is currently producing and exhibiting a series of wetplate tintype photographs on Governor’s Island this month. You can see Riso’s photographs as well as sculptures by another artist buddy of mine, Sean-Paul Gallegos, on the Island in building 111 on the first floor. The ferry from Manhattan (right next to the Staten Island Ferry Terminal) is free and leaves about every 30 minutes until 5:00pm. This weekend (Sept. 28-29) is also the last weekend they will be exhibiting, so make sure to go check it out.
